A Green Escape into Thailand’s Wild Heart

Khao Yai is a breath of fresh air - where rolling hills meet cool mountain breezes, and nature takes the lead. Just a few hours from Bangkok, this green escape welcomes you with misty mornings, wide skies, and the kind of calm that city life can’t offer.

As Thailand’s oldest national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Khao Yai is rich in biodiversity and untouched beauty. Its dense forests and hidden waterfalls are home to wild elephants, gibbons, and colorful hornbills - a paradise for wildlife lovers and quiet seekers alike.

Beyond the forest, Khao Yai’s countryside surprises visitors with rolling vineyards, sunflower fields, and picturesque farms inspired by Tuscany and Provence. Sip local wines under the sun, pick fresh strawberries at organic gardens, or visit European-style villages like Primo Piazza or PB Valley.

Khao Yai doesn’t shout for attention - it soothes, charms, and gently resets your rhythm. Whether you're traveling as a couple, a family, or a solo adventurer, this lush retreat offers space to breathe and moments to remember.

Highlights

  • Visit PB Valley or GranMonte Vineyards for wine tasting and vineyard tours
  • Take a guided wildlife hike in Khao Yai National Park
  • Admire the colorful fields at the Jim Thompson Farm (seasonal)
Ready plan your adventure?

Whatever you want from your adventure our team of expert travel designers are here to help.

Whenever I visit Khao Yai, I feel completely reset - the misty forest trails, the cool air, and the way stars fill the night sky. It’s one of Thailand’s hidden gems for true nature lovers. I always suggest a morning hike through Khao Yai National Park, where gibbons call from the treetops and wild orchids bloom along the path. Then, spend your afternoon tasting wines at a local vineyard - yes, Thailand has wine country - or stopping by a European-style dairy farm for fresh ice cream. For families or couples, a private picnic by Haew Suwat waterfall is pure magic.
