Day 1
Landing in Hanoi – Welcome Dinner at a local family
Welcome to Hanoi, Vietnam's capital which celebrated its anniversary of 1,000 years in 2010. As you travel to your hotel, take a look out your window and take a look at the landscape and architecture. Historical emphasis on the arts and learning stipulates that buildings in Hanoi remain small, simple, and in harmony with nature.
Depending on the time of your arrival, you have the afternoon free to take a first look around.
In the evening, be exclusively invited by our hosts to visit their beautiful and cozy home, sip a cup of tea while listening to the host introducing family’s history.
Stories continue around the table as we join them in a traditional home cooked dinner, prepared by mothers. After the meal, enjoy a green tea to relax and chat more, our host offers a great opening to find out about the family’s life in the past and today.

Take a short drive to the outskirt of Hanoi to visit the fascinating Museum of Ethnology (closes every Monday) which is both a research center and a public museum exhibiting the 54 recognized ethnic groups of Vietnam. Some of them you will meet during your trip to Sapa.

Visit the home of the last traditional mask making artisan in Hanoi. Entirely handmade and always lingering with the faint smell of paper and glue, the paper masks have been part of the childhood for many generations of Hanoi people who wore them to celebrate the full moon night particularly during the Mid-Autumn Festivals. The visit to the artisan, will serve a cause of raising awareness about the preservation of this multi century old art.
Embark on a fun cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi) ride through the French colonial architecture of the precinct known as the French Quater, past the French-style villas, the Vietnam History Museum, the heritage Metropole Legend Hotel and the Opera House, name to a few.
Day 3
Hanoi – Ha Long Bay – Overnight on the cruise
Embark on a unique journey, meeting at Heritage Line’s lounge at Tuan Chau Marina. A short speedboat transfer takes you to your luxurious floating home, the starting point for exploring the wonders of Lan Ha Bay and Cat Ba Island. Lunch is served in the almost 360-, light-flooded, elegant dining room during we sail deeper into the bay. Unwind on the terrace deck or private balcony, soaking in the surreal seascape.
Mooring close to Cat Ba Island, we step on land heading to Viet Hai Village, nestled in a picturesque valley surrounded by jungle-cladded mountains. Cycling through this valley offers wonderful insights into the isolated life of the local inhabitants. The community, surrounded by thick forests and mountains, and only accessible by sea, is self-sufficient, cultivating vegetables, fruits, and fishing on the bay.
Returning to the ship, we sail to our overnight anchorage spot in Lan Ha Bay. Participate in a Vietnamese tea tasting, pamper yourself with spa a treatment, or enjoy some time in the sauna located in the ship’s vast spa area. After dinner offers you can opt for a guided “Singing Bowl Meditation” in the wellness studio or simply relax under the stars on the terrace deck or your private balcony to embrace the serenity of this surreal landscape.

Day 4
Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Fly to Hue
Back on board, we serve a hearty breakfast or brunch while cruising back to the disembarkation spot, from where we transfer you back to the pier by speedboat. Savour the last moments of this unique journey while relaxing on the terrace deck.
Your private car takes you back to Hanoi and head directly to the airport for the flight to Hue, in the central of Vietnam
Upon arrival at Phu Bai airport, you will be picked up by your private guide & driver and taken to your hotel in the Royal City of Hue

Day 5
The Royal Architecture in Hue & Meeting a local kite craftman
Among many places in the country, Hue is regarded as the most ideal venue for kite flying. Except on rainy days, hundreds of kites can be seen soaring in the sky over the Imperial Citadel every afternoon. Kite flying is still an interesting game for all generations in this former Royal city. Visit Mr. Cu’s private home, a 45-years-experienced kite craftsman. Have a chat with him to understand the history of this traditional pastime and share his passion. Then learn how to create a kite yourself. If the weather allows it, enjoy the excitement as your kite rises into the blue sky.

Day 6
Hue – Drive to Hoi An
Continue to the elaborate Khai Dinh Royal Tomb whose architecture showcases elements of Eastern art and Western design. While smaller than many of the other tombs, the Khai Dinh Royal Tomb is more flamboyant, with the largest dragons in the country forming the side walls leading up to the tomb. Notice the tomb’s blackened concrete exterior and colorful mosaic interior in the spacious main building decorated with murals of the Four Seasons, Eight Precious Objects and Eight Fairies.
After exploring the tomb, transfer to Hoian via the Hai Van Pass.

Day 7
Hoi An Oriental Walking Tour & Cooking Class
Start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Scout Café and visit Hoi An’s colorful main market, and experience its amazing sights, sounds and aromas. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers, to see and taste the wonderful variety of foods on display.
Board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb and vegetable garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s best-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – each dish is first demonstrated by the Red Bridge chef’s, before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat exactly what we have cooked.
In the late afternoon, your tour guide will take you to the Ancient Quarter of Hoi An, where you will embark on a walking tour visiting the major attractions such as Chua Ong Pagoda, Tan Ky Ancient House, Fujian Assembly Hall, and the Japanese Covered Bridge.
Continue to visit the Precious Heritage Museum, home to the permanent exhibition of Réhahn’s Precious Heritage Collection. While transporting you to the furthest reaches of Vietnam, the collection will unveil the rich cultural tapestry of the ethnic tribes

Hoi An – Fly to Ho Chi Minh – After dark street food tour by Vespa
Your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh.
Upon arrival, you will be picked up by your private guide & driver and taken to your hotel in the city centre. Check in to your hotel and prepare for the evening street food tour.
In the evening, experience the local nightlife and enjoy tasty food and live music as we ride pillion on vintage Vespas along the busy streets of this vibrant city. See Saigon come alive at night on this after dark adventure!
Immerse yourself into the cosmopolitan nightlife of this busy city by night. Soak up the energy of this urban metropolis at our central city location while watching the world go by we sip on our first drinks and try out some tasty snacks. Your expert driver will then zoom through the busy streets of Saigon as you check out some of the famous highlights in this bustling city. Feel like a local as we feast on authentic, fresh seafood dishes, eating streetside and then enjoy the local favourite that is the delicious Banh Xeo, a traditional Vietnamese savoury pancake. We then ride off into the night again to experience live music at two very different venues. Firstly, the laid back atmosphere of quieter, softly lit coffee shop before heading to a lively rock bar where a new generation of Vietnamese flaunt their style. Bring a healthy appetite and a sense of adventure as our guides show you their city by night.

Day 10
Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnel by speed boat
Visit the underground villages with a VC veteran who used to live there, to better understand the tunnels’ history, life in the tunnels and the Vietnamese’s resilience during the combats. Discuss with the veteran and find out about his experience living in the subterranean hamlets where lack of air, food and water can made life unbearable. Your guide will be there to translate the veteran’s experiences.
After lunch, back to the hotel and free at your leisure.

Day 11
A Taste of Mekong day trip from Ho Chi Minh – Fly to Siem Reap
On the river, all sorts of boat ply water, from small fishing boats to cargo barges loaded with fruit and vegetables. Observe from the comfort of your sampan life as it plays out on the riverbanks the people, the stunning landscapes while your attentive crew serves you tea and seasonal fruit.
At Tan Phong Islet, board a small row boat to better explore the canal’s hidden mangroves. Return to your sampan to visit an ancient house built in the 19th century. We’ll make stops along the way to explore local cottage industries including the making of coconut candy and puffed rice (the local equivalent of popcorn).
Your cruise ends at Le Longanier Restaurant. Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river and surrounded by fruit trees, giving you a sense of privileged life during Indochinese times.
After lunch, at around 2:30 pm, take a short walk along a small canal towards the Ba Bon Bridge where your personal vehicle awaits to drive you approximately 2 hours to Ho Chi Minh City Airport for the flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival, you will pick up and transfer to the hotel for check in. Dinner on your own account.

Day 12
Angkor Wat Full Day Discover
Alternatively, depending on the season and the crowds, you may wish to visit the Preah Khan temple. Built by the same king in a similar style, this larger temple complex is also largely left in ruins, and its labyrinthian layout and fewer visitors make it a more intimate experience even in the high season months.
(Please consult your tour guide about crowd levels on the day of your visit; Ta Prohm is best when it opens at 7:30 a.m.)
Next, visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Great Khmer Empire under the reign of Jayavarman VII. This city is surrounded by an 8-meter-high wall, drawing a perfect square. Enter the city through an ancient gate carved with three-headed elephants and capped with four giant faces of the Buddha. On each side of the causeway over the moat leading to the gate, a row of 54 gods and demons stand holding a sacred Naga snake.
From here, continue to Bayon Temple, at the exact center of the city. This 12th-century masterpiece is a study in grandeur and is well-known for its 52 towers with enigmatic faces looking out over the vast provinces of the Great Khmer Empire. Nearby, you should also check out the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King, which are both known for their intricate and unique carvings.
After lunch, begin exploring the crown jewel of the Khmer Empire, Angkor Wat. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century, Angkor Wat was constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru, the home of the gods.
Inside, the temple walls are covered with stone carvings depicting Hindu mythology and the wars that Suryavarman II fought during his reign. Angkor Wat is well known for the more than 2,000 Apsara dancers decorating the temple. It is thought to have taken around thirty-five years of intensive labor. Today, Angkor Wat is featured on Cambodia’s national flag as the temple symbolizes the soul of the Khmer people. Arrive just before sunset, when Angkor Wat is less visited, and the Apsaras will shine in the most beautiful light.
After that, return to your hotel where there is the time at leisure to have dinner (at your own expense) and perhaps relax at the pool.

Day 13
An Unforgettable Ox Cart Adventure – Tonle Sap Lake
Just as some examples: are how the locals wash vehicles, sell gasoline in whiskey bottles, or the small shops where the locals sell food on the side of small streets.
On the way, you can take some fruits from the plants, enjoy a view of this wonderful area and interact with very kind people in the village, a 30-minute old mean vehicle ox/buffalo-cart ride through the rice paddies to reach one big local house to see how this family doing daily work such as making rice wine and handicraft works meanwhile the member of the family will offer you of fresh coconut and some manmade rice wine to taste.
In the afternoon, your guide with driver come to hotel to pick up you to the Floating Village. Arrive at the quay and board a local boat for a 2-hour ride on the Tonle Sap Lake, also known as the Great Lake of Cambodia. Find out how communities live and work on the lake; see the floating schools, markets, and police stations, among others; observe their daily lives.

Day 14
Siem Reap Departure
Your guide will be waiting for you at the hotel’s lobby and take care you on a private transfer to the airport for your flight back to home.
